The delectable laddu's and other prasadams

 

The very mention of a visit to Tirupati prepares ones gustatory senses for the sweet and highly delectable experience of Laddus. The production of laddus per day is 1.25 lakhs.

This utilizes 100 bags of Sugar, 275 Ghee tins of 15 kgs each, 90 bags of Bengal gram dal of 50 kgs each, 90 tins of cashew nuts each of 10kg, 200 kgs of Elachi, 250 kgs of Sugar candy, 30 boxes of Kismiss 15 kgs each.

225 employees work on the job on an ordinary day, the production is from 3am to 10pm. For the laddus to last long 12.3% moisture content is maintained. 

Other prasadams are vada, Big laddus, Appam, Dosai, Jilebi, Palpayasam (Wednesday) and Palpayasam with Jilebi(Thursday).

All the prasadams are handmade. They are prepared on gas stove. Annaprasadam is prepared by steam.
