Sudarshan Token system at Tirumala

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has introduced a system of Sudarshan Token to have darshan of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala. This system is introduced by the authorities for the benefit of the devotees to avoid long queue, wastage of time and unnecessary crowding at Tirumala. This system allows the devotees to plan their programme to visit Tirumala and to visit many other temples in and around Tirupati.

How does the system function?

On arrival by road, air or train, you have to go individually to the 'Sudarshan Counters' run by TTD and get the token tied. These are computerized tokens indicating the time & date of darshan. This will not be given as a group, and every individual should follow the queue and get the token tied to the wrist.
These tokens should not be removed from the wrist till the devotee completes the darshan at Tirumala. If tampered or damaged, TTD will not entertain the devotees to enter for darshan.

How does this system keep?

This is being done in a systematic way to avoid wastage of time, to plan for the devotees to visit other temples and to have good darshan. This system eliminates the middlemen and involvement of touts.
